Primary School sets sail with new play area

p1020179_327x184St Mary’s CEVA Primary School in Woodbridge puts their faith in all their children and strongly believe that they can be the best they can. They are a forward thinking, innovative Primary School and this is clear when visiting their modern website and undertaking the virtual tour of the school. Last year they decided that they wanted to improve their playground facilities to offer a fun and engaging play area with lots of bright colours and interesting play equipment to keep the children occupied and amused.

The school contacted Jez Anstey at Suffolk Country Grounds Service who recommended using Playrite’s Matchwinner product, a durable and hardwearing needlepunch surface that is excellent for playgrounds. Matchwinner can be used with or without a Playsafe system, depending on the height of the equipment. The 5 safety systems available provide a critical fall height from 80cm to 320cm and are all tested European Standards 1177 and are made in the UK.

St Mary’s Primary School selected Playrite’s Matchwinner in colours blue, yellow and green. This helps to create the look of dry land, a small beach area and the sea on which you’ll find the main feature of the playground – a boat. Complete with slide and other climbing apparatus all round the playground, the school has managed to create a play area the school can be proud of.

The school’s head teacher Mr James Leese liaised with Jez Anstey and Playrite’s National Sales Manager Steve Byrnes throughout the project. The level of input, help and advice offered by both Playrite and Suffolk County Grounds Service helps to make the projects they work on together such a success for their customers.

Here are some things that the children of St. Mary’s School has to say about the new surface from Playrite:

“It has good grip and so it stops you skidding when you run.”

“It is very colourful, and you can use the colours to play lots of games.”

“It’s good because if you fall off, it protects you.”
