The Shakespeare Primary School and Children’s Centre in Leeds has recently benefitted from the installation of Playrite’s artificial grass product Nearlygrass. Installed by JMS Sport UK, 165m² of the realistic looking Nearlygrass 40 Premium in Green/Beige has now completely transformed the areas around the outside of the school, making the surroundings look brighter and more inviting. The West Yorkshire school, which is located closely to Playrite’s head office, wanted a surface that looked like grass but that wouldn’t require the same amount of upkeep, and that would last for years to come. The schools had previously struggled with maintaining poorly grassed areas and as a result they had mud dragged in to the school and rubbish strewn in these areas. Making these areas artificial will reduce maintenance costs, stop the mud issue and improve the aesthetics of the new area, which should also help to prevent litter being thrown.
Nearlygrass 40 Premium is one of Playrite’s most realistic and natural looking grasses, created by combining a two tone straight green yarn with a texturised beige yarn. This helps to mimic the colour, shape, structure and behaviour of natural grass. Resilient enough to handle daily use, but soft enough to provide comfort underfoot, Nearlygrass is an excellent choice for areas that are prone to water logging or if a low maintenance alternative to grass is required.
Playrite usually recommend that Nearlygrass is installed by a professional, such as JMS Sport Surfaces, who have a good amount of experience successfully installing surfaces for leisure and sport. They also manufacture, import and supply quality sports ground equipment for all kinds of different sports and they specialise in the supply and installation of cricket equipment as well as carrying out leisure grass installations at schools and colleges across the North.
